Mercer Private Client Services (PCS) is growing its global and Asia leadership team to accelerate expansion.
Private banker Davin Wong joins the high-net-worth focused life insurance brokerage firm as CEO Singapore designate from 1 September, the firm said in an announcement.
Wong joins from VP Bank, where he was an executive director and team head at its Singapore branch. He has more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry, including at Julius Baer, UOB and ANZ.
Leadership Appointments
Mercer PCS also appointed Jason Kwong as group deputy chief operating officer in July. Kwong was most recently head of global insurance and executive director at Noah International (Hong Kong). 
Bill Johnston, previously global head of sales, PCS, will take on the newly created role of group chief commercial officer, PCS, also effective 1 September 2021. In his new role, he will drive cross referrals between PCS and other Mercer entities in AMEA, with a focus on external asset managers and family offices across Mainland China, Singapore, Hong Kong and Switzerland.
Finally, Anubhav Bhushan was appointed CEO of PCS International, and will lead the international sales team to focus on providing insurance-linked solutions to clients across Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and the Indian diaspora.
Growing Demand
«Demand for risk solutions is also surging, along with the sustained growth in the HNW and UHNW population concerned with the preservation, growth and transfer of their wealth,» Joseph Low, group CEO said in the announcement.
PCS currently has offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Geneva and Zurich. It also has a licence to operate a wholly owned domestic insurance brokerage in China, and is actively expanding its footprint there.
